Hey! I’m Tracey and I wanted to share an idea with you that may help you get through some of these interesting days that we have ahead of us – One Thought To Change and Empower Your Life!
Do you know that researchers tell us we think like 70,000 thoughts a day? That’s about 48 thoughts a minute. Don’t get hung up on the numbers- the important thing here is, oh my gosh, we think SO much! There’s a massive amount of information just flowing through our heads all the time.
And of course I want to add to that here. You Can Do This! One Thought To Change and Empower Your Life!
Everything we think- all these thoughts- they’re not all true, right?
They’re not all facts.
Elephants are animals. That’s a fact.
Elephants are really cool. Well, that’s not a fact. That’s my opinion and I think it’s right but it’s not a fact. It’s not true.
So when you hear something like, somebody says don’t believe everything you hear on the internet- well, also don’t believe everything you think in your head.
You get to choose what to believe so we want to choose to believe things that will HELP us.
Now we’re all trying to figure stuff out now, right?
We’re trying to figure out how we’re going to work from home and you may be having to figure out how you’re going to school your kids at home and how to keep everybody healthy and not get the Corona virus and what the heck does shelter in place mean?
It’s a lot going on. These are really, really unusual days.
And it’s gonna be very normal to feel sad or anxious or depressed or overwhelmed.
That’s really normal.
Now, when you feel it, just kind of acknowledge that feeling but don’t get wrapped up in it. What we want to be able to do so we don’t get stuck and just mired in the pit.
I’ve got something you can do.
I want you to say, “I can do this.” I can make one thought to change and empower my life as a part of my day.
We’re gonna have some fun with it.
Say it as LOUD as you want. “I can do this.” I can make one thought to change and empower my life as a part of my day.
Say it as often as you want. “I can do this.” I can make one thought to change and empower my life as a part of my day.
Play with it.
Get other people to say it with you. “I can do this.” I can make one thought to change and empower my life as a part of my day.
Every time you say it, accent a different word. I CAN do this! I can DO this!
Spend some time with it and let your brain absorb that positive energy. Because that’s what we’re after. We want to get some different energy flowing through your brain and we want that different energy flowing on out into the world.
I can DO this! One thought to change and empower my life!
Now yeah, it’s just one phrase and it’s not gonna magically fix everything but it’s a really great place to start.
So do it.
As often as you need to, as many times as you need to.
I can do this! One thought to change and empower my life!
Now here’s why I know what I’m talking about.
I spent 18 years homeschooling my 3 sons. It was great! They’re all graduated. Yay! But 18 yrs of homeschooling.
I’ve worked at home since 2012 with my husband in our own business and we have figured some stuff out in these years.
I’ve had life challenges, health challenges, business challenges.
I’ve got the experience there applying ‘one thought to change and empower my life’!
I’ve got a Master’s degree in psychology. I’ve got doctoral work in counseling psychology. I teach psychology. AND I’m a life coach. I know some really practical things that you can do to help yourself survive when it’s tough. Thrive especially when it’s tough. Like now.
I’ve got a YouTube channel. You can subscribe so you get notifications whenever my videos come out. Each video I share will have at least one thing very practical that you can do to help yourself have a better life, live the life you want no matter what else is going on around you.
Comments and questions are welcome.
I’d love for you to share with me if this has been helpful for you.
Remember, you can do this!
